2023 marks 75 years since the launch of the very first Jaguar XK 120.
Our Diamond Weekend package includes the Saturday and Sunday excursions, Saturday dinner with wine, the Sunday evening Grand Finale and a souvenir rally plate as well as two nights’ accommodation at Whittlebury Park.
Full details below:
Saturday
On Saturday morning you will gather at Whittlebury Park for coffee before a three-counties scenic drive through the pretty lanes and villages of Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire to Bicester Heritage. Route book included.
The former RAF airfield on which Bicester Heritage is now based is of national historic importance, with over 95% of the buildings authentically restored – even the paint colours are correct to 1930s British Standards.
Following lunch in the historic Club Room and terrace, we have arranged a private tour of the site and its buildings with a knowledgeable local guide. We will be joined by several of the heritage motoring specialists who have showrooms and workshops on the premises.
You will then return to Whittlebury for a private three-course meal with wine in one of the motorsport-themed dining rooms.
Sunday
Meet at Whittlebury for coffee, before driving to historic Bletchley Park for a trip back in time, as we have timed our visit with their 1940's weekend.
Probably best-known as home of the WWII code breakers and the Enigma machines, Bletchley is also the site of some incredible innovation from the 1940's to the present day, making it the perfect fit for a celebration of one of the most innovative cars of the 20th century.
While at Bletchley you can take your time visiting the various exhibitions, enjoy some period displays, dance, music and performances.
Light refreshments and lunch included.
That afternoon you can choose to either stay on at Bletchley or take the optional scenic drive back to Whittlebury Park – route book included.
Sunday Grand Finale Dinner
Our Grand Finale – a private dinner followed by music and dancing to the fabulous 1940's sound of the Ashby Big Band (stars of the XK70 1948 Party at Shelsley Walsh).
Festivities begin with a glass of fizz, followed by three courses with wine.
Period dress is encouraged, but not compulsory.
